Maria Miheeva was born in Moscow in 1969, in the family of artists.
She began her art studies at the Serov Secondary Art School # 1.
In 1988 she graduated from the theater department of the “Memory of Year 1905” Art School.
After graduation she worked at the decorations workshops of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Opera and Ballet Theater.
Later she became property woman and decorator at the Moscow Regional Chamber Theater.
She participated in several youth exhibitions.
In 2003 she was admitted as a member of MOSKh (Russian abbreviation for Moscow Union of Artists). Although Maria Miheeva received her formal art education at the "year of 1905" Art School, her primary creative mentors were her grand parents - well-known Moscow artists Alexandra Kolganova and Georgy Satel. Alexandra Semenovna is one of the best Moscow artists. In fact, Maria owes to her the grand manner of still-life and landscape paintings she created in the village of Popovka in Ryazan Region. In these works Maria has merged the largeness of the meadows, the harmony of the hills of the Oka river, the silence of the night and the vivid colours of the day. Although absolutely realistic, her paintings are simulateneously a poetic celebration of nature of her country. The artistic merits of Maria's works and her master craft turned decisive in admitting her as member of the Moscow Union of Artists in 2003.
